About Me
I started Visual Impact Web Design and DTP in 1999. Prior to Visual Impact, I produced my first website soon after the world wide web was introduced to South Africa. From there it grew to designing a website for my husband (neurosurgery.co.za) and friends in the South African dogworld who were interested in having personal websites promoting their show dogs. Not long after producing these few websites my husband and I bought an historical newspaper. Together with two salesmen, the editor (my husband) and I (doing all the DTP work and final production) we distributed 10 000 newspapers on a monthly basis. The newspaper was a full time job that was extremely demanding which meant little time for web design. After the newspaper was taken over I was able to devote more time to web design.
I have the expert backup service of Shearar Business Systems (South Africa) that provides excellent hosting facilities together with the valued support of database scripting. Being a "one-manned" business allows me to devote all of my time to my clients and in producing exactly what they desire at a very reasonable cost.
